We are all joining Kristie this year and taking part in the 2013 Melbourne Marathon Festival and hoping to raise much needed funds for Bowel Cancer Australia. Aptly dubbed BUM RUN 2013 (formerly known as 'Prim's Run for Bums 2012').

This October, after hopefully winding up another 6 months of chemo,  I’m going to be sweating it out, along with our very capable team "BUM RUNNERS", and we will be doing our best to complete a gruelling course through the streets of Melbourne and ending back at the world famous 'G!

Since being diagnosed with Bowel Cancer in April 2012 at the age of 30, I've been exposed to the devastating effects cancer has on those diagnosed and their families. In just one short year, I've experienced people my own age passing away from this disease, the very disease I'm currently fighting. Im determined and making it my mission to complete this challenge in their honour, in honour of those I know who are currently fighting and to be defiant to this illness that has weasled its way in and turned my life upside down. Im doing it to show cancer who is boss - and thats me! Life's for the living and thats what I am here to prove, not just to cancer, but to everyone that knows me :) #cancershmancer #livelifelovelife
